The membership of the Suez & Red Sea Chamber of shipping consists of ship owners
/operators/managers/agents and natural and corporate persons working in the fields of maritime transport
industry and the sea and dry ports. The Chamber provides a balanced natural and objective environment
for interaction, integration, and cooperation of the members and their commercial and service
institutions as a means of enhancing growth of this sector and supporting its competitiveness.
The chairman, the board of directors and the staff of the chamber actively indulge in achieving the
interests of the maritime transport community and for performing its tasks pertaining to this target. For
these purposes the chamber relies on its specialized technical committees and the ad hoc committees for
emergent important purposes.
In its geographical domain, the chamber poses to play a role in collaboration with the concerned
authorities in the field of registration of ships that desire hoisting the Egyptian Flag in the future
after preparing a study for this activity as applied in some countries and according to the conditions
and rules applied in the maritime environment in Egypt. |
