Description:
Location:
Safaga port is located at the Red Sea Governorate on the western coast of the Red Sea. It consists of
a broad bay naturally protected from east and north by Safaga Island, and sheltered by mountains from
western prevailing winds. Yet, for a brief interval, south winds cause some difficulties. The port drafts
are deep, thus enabling the accommodation of large vessels.
